Stacy Chaput

President and Youth Advisory Council Leader

As a lifelong resident of Mecosta County, Stacy feels very blessed to be a member of this amazing area. She and her husband, John, have two beautiful daughters (both currently attending St. Mary School-Big Rapids) and live on a small hobby farm consisting of horses, chickens, two cats, four dogs and a few fish. Stacy has always dreamt of being able to help out in the community of which she lives and does just that. Besides serving on the MCCF board, Stacy is involved with Mecosta County Match Day, Girls on the Run, the local Horse 4-H and the Mecosta County Fair Infield Party and Sulky Race.  She also volunteers at St. Mary School, The Riley Mackenzie Dog Therapy Program and the Spirit of the Season Fund.


Nick Scheible

Vice President

Growing up in Mecosta County has allowed Nick to see many positive changes over the years. He and his wife, Melissa, are involved within the community and enjoy spending time with their two sons. Currently, Nick is the director of finance and athletics for Big Rapids Public Schools. He also is a member of the Michigan School Business Officials, Ferris State University Athletic Advisory Committee and the Michigan High School Athletic Association Hockey Committee. Nick has previously served as president of the Mecosta County Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Big Rapids Jaycees.

Kim von Kronenberger

Second Vice President

After having to step away from MCCF for a few years due to relocating for work, Kim is back in Mecosta County and ready to help support the community. Currently, he serves as the Community Bank President at Chemical Bank in Big Rapids. With nearly 30 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry, Kim holds a master’s degree in Business Administration in Finance from Indiana University. In addition to MCCF, Kim currently serves as President on the Shamrock Invitational Golf Committee, a Board Member of the North Central Michigan Community Foundation and was past president of the St. Michael School Board and School Foundation.


Tom Tacia


Growing up in Big Rapids, Tom Tacia takes pride in giving back to the Mecosta County community in which he has been a part of for so many years. Owner of Tacia Wealth Management, Tom is a financial advisor. He received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Montana and has been in the financial services business since 2004. In addition to helping people manage their assets, Tom also serves on the finance committee for St. Mary School and on the boards of Friends of Ferris, The Shamrock Invitational and Spirit of the Season. He currently lives in Canadian Lakes with his wife Tracie and their two children, Libbie and Torrie.



Rita Conrad

Rita has been involved in Mecosta County since 1970 working with many community and church organizations, especially the MCMC Auxiliary and Gift Shop. She is a firm believer that we all need to be involved and be willing to give back to our community. These beliefs led her to her involvement with MCCF in 2001. She currently is the chair of the Scholarship committee and also served on the Emeriti committee. She enjoys traveling, visiting her grandchildren and being outside no matter the season skiing, golfing and gardening.


Brad Fath

Being a lifelong resident of Mecosta County, Brad believes in giving back to the community where he lives, works and raises his family. A partner and registered representative at Lerner, Csernai and Fath Financial Group Inc., he has been involved in fundraising efforts for not only MCCF, but also other community events. Brad is a graduate of Leadership Mecosta and serves on the FACF investment committee. He enjoys hunting, coaching and volunteering at his children’s school.


David Hamelund

As a lifelong resident of Mecosta County, David is grateful for what the community has given him and wants to give back his time and talents. David has been involved in MCCF since 2007. He also serves his community on various boards and commissions. David is married with one son and owns and operates HamTech, Inc., a Big Rapids machine shop.


Bob Hampson

Big Rapids became home to Bob and his family in 1978. During his time in the community, he has worked as a financial representative and also owned and operated two Big Rapids radio stations. A MCCF board member since 1997, Bob also is active in the United Church of Big Rapids and other volunteer community endeavors. Since retirement in 2013, Bob and his wife, Paula, travel quite a bit to see new places throughout the country.


Scott Hill-Kennedy

Passionate about the foundation and Mecosta County, Scott has been involved with the organization for many years. He served as board president as well as chairperson of the Grants Committee, which he continues to chair. Currently, Scott serves as a circuit court judge for Mecosta and Osceola Counties. Prior to serving as a judge, he worked many years in senior management at Ferris State University as vice president/general counsel, executive director of the Ferris Foundation and interim president. Scott is involved in many other professional and community organizations and activities. He also enjoys partnering with his wife on some of the community activities which she is involved with.


Michael (Mike) Mohnke

Mecosta County has been home for Mike since 1972. As a Big Rapids High School and Ferris State College graduate, he decided to return to his roots after receiving his graduate degree from Wayne State University College of Mortuary Science. Mike has owned and operated the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids for nearly 30 years. A proud father of four grown children, Mike also has been a longtime active member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. He is a member of the Big Rapids Rotary Club and supporter of Ferris State and Big Rapids High School Athletics. His late father, Ron Mohnke, was a charter member of MCCF and instrumental in helping to establish the foundation.


Laura Rhoades

Originally from Toledo, Ohio, Laura has resided in the Big Rapids community since 2010. With a background in PR/Communications, Laura has jumped on board to lead the PR Committee within the organization. She currently works at The Pioneer Group as the Commercial Print Sales Manager and previously worked at a marketing/advertising/PR agency in Toledo focusing on public relations efforts in the healthcare industry. In addition to the time she spends giving back to St. Mary School, Laura loves spending time with her two daughters.


Gary Trimarco

A long-time board member and past president, Gary and his wife, Lynn, take pride in the community and are involved in many philanthropic endeavors in and around Mecosta County. He currently is the owner and operator of Gary Trimarco Automotive in Big Rapids. Gary has owned several General Motors dealerships since 2000. In addition to MCCF, he is on a number of boards including the Ferris Foundation, where he was past president, and the Michigan Automobile Dealers Association. In his free time, Gary enjoys spending time with his wife, dogs and watching baseball.

Debra Jacks

A long-time member of the Mecosta County community, Debra Jacks has recently joined the MCCF board. She currently serves as the Director of Operations for the Michigan School Vocal Music Association. Since joining the board, she has been hands-on helping with Match Day 2015.
